Our
newly-developed ERP system focuses on compliance with
WEEE and RoHS directives

(Hong Kong, 29 April 2005) According
to Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) w.e.f. 13
August 2005 and Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous
Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) w.e.f.
1st July 2006, the two new directives will require manufacturers,
retailers, importers, exporters and consumers of electrical
and electronic equipment (E&E), including several types
of toys, to play their role in managing E&E waste environmentally.
As a pioneer system company based in Hong Kong, Objective Solutions
Limited (OSL) has developed its Electrical and Electronic ERP
System (3ES) to facilitate the transformation of local manufacturing
industry (especially electrical, electronic, toys, and watch
& clock manufacturers) to comply with the WEEE and RoHS
directives.
¡§We aim to position our 3ES as a tool for local manufacturers
to acquire, audit and manage product, component and substance
data to demonstrate compliance with WEEE and RoHS directives.
We establish our 3ES as a knowledge base and data management
tool for suppliers containing multi-level bill of materials
(BOM). The system generates product specifications and detailed
components reports to meet customers¡¦ compliance requirements.¡¨
concluded Dr. Oliver Yau, managing director of OSL. |
