won Green SME Gold Award

(Hong Kong, 7 March 2005) The Company
was awarded ¡§Green SME Gold Award¡¨ under 2004 Hong Kong Eco-Business
Awards on 25 January 2005.
Our commitment to the protection of the environment is reflected
in every aspect of our operations. Our environmental protection
policy specifies that ¡§The support processes aim at optimizing
resources and reduce wastage¡¨. To support this commitment, we
strengthened our corporate environmental policy in business
processes to ensure continuing focus and systematic performance
improvement. We joined Wastewi$e Scheme in August 2004 and 13
targets on reducing wastage were defined and implemented. Some
of them include:
¡E To reduce A4 paper consumption
¡E To use and reuse packing materials
¡E To reduce box files consumption
¡E To reduce purchase of disposable paper cups
¡E To reduce consumption of rubbish bags
¡E To return renovation materials to supplier
¡E To reduce corporate printed matter
¡E To collect waste paper for recycling
¡E To collect all exhausted toner and ink cartridges for recycling
¡E To save electricity power by reducing number of fluorescent
lamps
¡E To keep second hand furniture for reuse
¡E To use recycled paper for letterhead printing
¡E To reduce number of paper-packaged drinks
About Hong Kong Eco-Business
Awards
Established in 1999, the Hong Kong Eco-Business Awards aim to
educate organizations about the importance of environmental
management and to recognize those who have already embraced
the concept of environmental protection. To encourage these
organizations to continue their good environmental initiatives,
Environmental Campaign Committee, in collaboration with The
Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong General Chamber
of Commerce and Hong Kong Productivity Council, is now organizing
the "2004 Hong Kong Eco-Business Awards" scheme under
the financial support from the Environment and Conservation
Fund. Co-organizers include The Australian Chamber of Commerce
in Hong Kong, The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong,
Business Environment Council, The Canadian Chamber of Commerce
in Hong Kong, The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong
Kong, Consumer Council, Federation of Hong Kong Machinery and
Metal Industries, Hong Kong Apparel Society Limited, The Hong
Kong Association of Property Management Companies Limited, HK-BEAM
Society, The Hong Kong Chinese Importers' & Exporters' Association,
Hong Kong Society of Accountants.
